 PRIVATE TAILORED TRIPS FOR THE VENTURING ANGLER
Tropical Sportfisher is a locally owned guided fly and sportfishing operation based in Cairns, Far North Queensland, Australia. Our guides are born and bred in the tropics and we specialise in private guided lure and fly fishing trips from Cairns, Port Douglas and Mission Beach.

Tropical Sportfisher was founded by local guide Rory Brookes to offer visitors to the region a proper guided fly & sportfishing experience. We specialize in lure and fly fishing in the tropics and also offer many different multi day adventures.

Our day trips cater for a maximum of 2 anglers per boat and for our remote adventures we can cater for private groups of up to 6. We work with a local mothership and helicopter companies to offer tailored remote trips.

Our options for full or half day charters including jungle perch fishing, river/estuary and inshore Bluewater fishing. We also offer private nature/photography cruises. With our small boats we are able to access hard to reach places to view birdlife and crocodiles. If you want to have lunch at a secluded beach on a tropical island or swim under a waterfall, we can make that happen too!
